Not necessarily too formal but one should be respectful of others and neat .
Walk two blocks south to the Red Fez.
Take th T to Park Street and transfer to the 43. It stops in front of the theater.
Valet parking is only moderately expensive -$15 plus tip.

Park at 100 Clarendon and walk a few blocks.

Nice selection of refreshments at the concession counter.
Good selection of neighborhood eats. Reserve & get there early.
Poor parking options. Few street spots. Garage fills up, too.
I'm a proponent of dresses, skirts & jackets for theatre attire.
Not much parking available, T is a better bet, and walking is best if you can
