We usually pack a little picnic and find a nice bench somewhere around the area...nice walks in neighborhoods - in nicer weather.
If winter or rainy, we like the Temple Bar for a nice dinner beforehand, on Mass Ave going west back toward Arlington, but just outside the square, on left past the Starbucks.
Sanders is a terrific old building, so bathrooms were added much later on...the ladies room will have a long wait, at peak times. Try to use it as soon as you arrive, to avoid wasting the entire intermission in a corridor in basement!
The weather was warm & sunny, unusual for February, just a small nip in the air.. I wore nice jeans and a sweater.
I wish the acoustics were better in Sanders...

Leave early or be prepared for a slow departure if you park in Broadway garage

I take public transportation; too much congestion there

Park for free at the Felton Street Garage--a few blocks away.
Easy parking at the Felton Street lot.
Head to Koreana for Korean BBQ afterwards
