Parking is free, but confusing. You get ticket going into municipal garage next door but when you leave show you just drive out and no payment due.
You can park in the lot next to the Theater for free if leaving 30minutes after show.
A little bit of audience participation so if you don't want that, stay out of the first row. If you drink, take some into the theatre. There's popcorn available - I think it's free.
There are some casual dining options close by - first is the Nile on 55th Street for Middle Eastern cuisine. Medici on 57th Street is a campus classic, but can be crowded at dinner time. There are also new options on 53rd Street - Promontory, A10 and Yusho, but these will require parking and then moving your car or a long walk - plan accordingly.
Parking in the University garage on Ellis Avenue at 55th is inexpensive - it's right next door to Court.
Limited concession stand, no alcohol. Bring an umbrella if it's raining, because you have to get from the parking garage to the theatre in the open.
If you don't live in Hyde Park, getting supper can be a little bit of a problem because you have to get to the area through rush hour traffic, resulting in a short window of time to eat before the show. There's nothing much around the theatre, so you have to eat somewhere else, then drive to the theatre.
There is a parking garage located just off Ellis Avenue, on the east side of the street. You have to take a ticket to get in, and get a "paid" pass at the theatre - it's free.
