The Gage, Seven Lions, and several other good restaurants on Michigan Ave. are in easy walking distance of the Harris Theater. Please bring a few dollars to give to the homeless people in the area. You'll feel good about yourself if you do.

Use ParkWhiz or Spot Hero to get cheap parking close by. WE never pay more than $12 for parking, often less.

Parking at Millenium Garage is much cheaper if you pay ahead using Spot Hero.

For some reason, Music of the Baroque does not let anything but bottled water into the performance. I don't believe this is a Harris Theatre policy, and it's annoying for those of us who would like a glass of wine with our music.

If I didn't have the best seat in the house, I don't know who did. Row V, seat 12, smack dab in the middle of the room, a little over halfway back. Just lucky, perhaps, but not the first time a Goldstar seat has turned out to be excellent.

We tried out the new restaurant at the Fairmont - The Tap Room and much enjoyed food and service. Will definitely go back since it is so convenient when visiting the Harris.

Many places to dine on Michigan Avenue $-$$$. In the theater they sell wine and soft drinks. Vendors sell water and drinks inside the theater as well.

The weather was surprisingly warm but drizzling. I wore slacks and a blouse with boots. .

If you have a choice, don't get upper balcony seats - they aren't terrible, but the lower seats are much much better.

No drinks allowed into the theater, save for bottled water and, I suppose, a bottled soft drink (you might have to BYO the soft drink - I didn't look to see if they were being sold.)

Weird lighting on one of the lower floors - I can imagine that it might disorient someone with vision problems.

A small glass of wine is $9 (the prices are not posted.) Even taking into account that the objective is to make a profit, this is too much, in my view, and the wine too ordinary. At least at a restaurant, a 9 dollar glass of wine is of better quality.

The weather was rainy. I wore shirt and tan jeans and sport jacket as it was cool outside..

toughest area in city to park. Could not get into Millenium lot due to Blues Fest, so wound up in Grant Park garage. Coupon from Park Grill made $33 parking only $18. No street parking and avoid Friday nights unless you take public transportation. And now with summer, there is a fest a week in Grant Park and this really affects parking.
