About Kia Forum
The Kia Forum is a classic example of the city’s history and its desire to grow and prosper. The arena generates a new focus and emphasis on the importance of sports and entertainment in Los Angeles’ continued economic development. The Kia Forum was the site of the 1972 and 1983 NBA All-Star Games, the 1981 NHL All-Star Game, 1984 Olympic basketball, and the Big West Conference (from 1983 to 1988) and 1989 Pacific-10 Conference men’s basketball tournaments. The venue also hosted tennis and boxing matches, as well as major music concerts and political events. Within driving distance of three of Los Angeles’ most heavily traversed highways, The Kia Forum is only a few minutes away from the Los Angeles Airport, and it is a focal point of an area full of shops, restaurants, offices and more.
