I live in the East Bay; therefore, this theatre is not convenient for me to take public transportation. The free parking lot was blocked off with a guard. I sat in my car until the last minute so that I could get away with paying only two hours of parking for $6. I attend a lot of theatre and always think twice before purchasing tickets for this one because of the transportation/parking issues. The good news is that I am always rewarded for the effort by a marvelous production.

The weather was chilly. I wore I wore layers but that didn't address the issue of the overly warm theatre. Unfortunately, the theatre was very warm on a chilly night. I was sitting several rows up and could see that I was not the only person who dozed off during the performance. I was not overly tired--in fact, I didn't go to sleep for several hours after I reached my home in the East Bay. .

I see well over 100 plays each year and am hesitant to book this venue/theatre group only because of the location. From Concord, the choices are to drive or take one train plus two busses. Driving is expensive from Concord because of the bridge toll and parking costs at the location. That said, I have yet to be disappointed by what Magic offers its audiences.

Please make the effort to read every sign about parking. I thought a certain sign applied to another area and ended up with a $192 parking ticket.

Eat before hand. There is a concession counter, but it's under-staffed, so there's little chance of being served before the show starts and no chance at all during intermission.

The Magic is fun because it's so small and relaxed.
