Anacostia Metro is about half a mile. The 90 bus runs from Adams Morgan and drops you within 1.5 blocks. Be careful crossing MLK Blvd or Howard -- way too many speeding drivers along those streets and they do not stop and give right of way to people walking in crosswalks.
There are a lot of great restaurants over by the Navy Yard on 8th street and it is only a 5 minute drive to the theater.
I wore jeans.
