La Penca Azul Mexican restaurant at 1440 Park St. (also in Alameda) is a moderately priced place that despite its size provides good service. I like the Chile Rellenos, the enchiladas verdes, and the warm tortilla chips which are complimentary..
As this is theater-in-the-round all seats are good - though sitting up three rows gives you eye-level with the performers. The sooner you arrive for the 7:30pm opening the better the choice of seats.
The Chocolate Chip cookies at $1 each are a delicious treat. Hot Cider, wines, and coffee are available, but cookies are not allowed in the theater (must be enjoyed in the lobby).
The street directly in front of the theater oftens has spots down a block or two.
The weather was balmy.. I wore everyday wear..

Get there at 7:30 to get the best seat (there are no bad seats, just better seats). They serve wine and cookies, (free coffee), which you can take to your seat. Find parking on the opposite site of the Theater on high street.,
Clybourne Park
We brought a picnic, parked across the street from the theatre and had a lovely picnic in Lincoln Park's lovely rose garden.
No bad sitting, it's a compact theater and the stage is right there a few feet away
daeglo
They had refreshments for sale beforehand.
God of Carnage
There is a fair amount of street parking, and AC transit goes right by the theater.
Theater Lover
Staged in the round with care so all sides are good seats.
God of Carnage
The seats are tight. However, there is no bad seating.

Yes, I went with a friend from Alameda and she had told me, that we wanted to sit in the first row.

Seating is very tight. If you have long legs, get there early to sit in the front rows!
No intermission so get your wine or coffee before the red wine was great
