The chairs are folding chairs with minimum padding on the seat. If you have back problems, bring a cushion or support.
If you've never been to the Berkeley City Club, take the tour offered at intermission -- the building is amazing.

Do make time to roam the halls, both first and second floors, before or after the show. This Julia Morgan building is its own work of art.

The Berkeley City Club is one of my favorite theatere venues in the Bay area. It is so intimate; all seats are good. But come a little early and enjoy a coffee or tea, while picking out your seat. YOur selection is constrained only by those seat reserved for subscribers.

If you're looking for a meal, desert or a cocktail, visit the second floor restaurant Julia's (third photo on right, pictured below). It's nice for special occasions. Although, it's pricey, theater goers get 10% off and you may bring your drink to the show.

You can have dinner in the Berkeley City Club or in a number of local restaurants

Come early if you have time and enjoy a free tea in this California Classic Club/Lounge/Hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the reception after. There was also fruit and cheese and wine.
