656 Saban Theatre Tips
The weather was mild to cool.. I wore an informal suit, the kids dressed nicely. The parking for $10 across the street was easy. I always hope for street parking but unless you are quite early not likely. Recommend Al Gelato on Robertson south of Wilshire for really good Italian food and desserts. .

We ate at Sur. Loved it!
see the theatre site for parking
This theater has quite a history and has been saved by the Saban family. It is quite intimate. The configuration of the orchestra enables good sight lines from all angles. We were very pleased with our seats in row D left of center with the third and fourth seats in. It might have been a bit too far left or right beyond the 7th and 8th seats. We usually choose the mezzanine area, but these were a pleasant surprise. The seats are comfortable and have plenty of leg room.
I was surprised to see an array of snacks and beverages, alcohol as well, for purchase.
Although the parking was $10.00, it was very convenient. Traffic coming across the valley can take awhile, so give yourself plenty of lead time.

On Pico Boulevard, one minute south of venue...try Vien Cafe...or Israeli, Yemenite and Persian restaurants...
Parking is $10 and are really no near by street options, all permit parking; and you need to pay in cash up front.
But there is a good little bar/restaurant next store, The Hill Bar and Grill, cozy, inexpensive, friendly place, styled like an art deco speakeasy, perfect for a stop before the show and, it has an ATM .

Eat at the lil restaurant/ bar area next door. Pretty good. Make sure to arrive early tho cuz it gets crowded quick.
We thoroughly enjoyed Leon Russell, but we wished we had not arrived early enough to see the opening act, which was mediocre at best.
The Saban Theater has been beautifully renovated. It's a joy to walk into this gorgeous art deco theater
