Hollywood bowl has shuttles. I suggest taking it since parking is very difficult and expensive.
We take Metro to Hollywood & Highland, then transfer to Shuttle (from Orange St), they will stamp you, for free access to the same bus after the show. Its cheaper and more convenient. Less hassle being trapped in parking lot.

Buy a "stay cold" bag in advance. Mine is an "Igloo" which cost 12 or 14 dollars. Bring a couple bottles of chilled wine and pre-sliced cheeses and/or salamis (and decent crackers). Add some ice cubes in freezer ziplock baggies for extra chill.

Go on the Hollywood Bowl website to find Park and Ride locations... they're scattered throughout LA and will save you tremendous hassles in traffic and parking! You park remotely and get shuttled in (with food and drink) for a cheap and non-stressful arrival. Six bucks per person... such a bargain!

Might be better to ride share to this event... parking was $30 and they line you up to exit. The 2 front cars of our lanes didn't come to their cars for 45 minutes after the event was over!!! Inconsiderate... so none of us could leave until they came... Grrr... wasn't happy about that! Oh ya, and it cost of $30 to park...
The weather was Sunny hot day but it get's cold at night. . I wore Jeans, a blouse and a light jacket... and I was a bit cold. I took 2 very small blankets but the wind kinda cut through them at night, so go prepared... even on a hot day. It's better to be prepared than cold... which many people were..
