We walked. Great way to explore the city.
Recommend upstairs on right. Even if raining - provided ponchos and there was covered seating.
Use their NY Waterways free bus to pick you up and drop you off. We got one on W49th & 9th avenue.
Bring your own
ALWAYS Always walk to the front of the boat downstairs, BEST VIEWS EVER!!!
Take subway and shuttle from Times Square or Grand Central. The shuttles are absolutely convenient.
Take your own food, choices for food are limited and mostly sweet.
Shades a must!
Parking was a nightmare. $35 to park at the piers. We lucked out with street parking on 9th Ave.
Cruise was quite crowded with people standing(safety issue?) and blocking views.
Took the Waterway Ferry. Although pricey, quite convenient.
Brought sandwiches and drinks, arrived early and ate at the tables on the deck.
Make sure that the cruise is actually gonna happen!
Loved the opportunity to take the bus back uotwn.
We arrived the recommended hour before departure and got the seat we preferred..
Beware that the Pier 78 sign is not as visible as the others and it could be easily missed.
We didn't purchase any food on board; we had lunch righ before we went on board.
Boat can be rocky if you seat on the top; beware if you or someone in your group gets motion sick.
