While locating parking was a challenge due to construction we found a well lit parking lot on Hattie and Hopkins.
Get there early on a Sunday and you can park on the street.
The weather was Rainy. I wore Layers - theater was very warm!.
THE FISH MARKET WAS GREAT FOR US...NICE BOOTHS WHERE WE COULD ACTUALLY TALK...GREAT SERVICE AND GOOD FOOD..
Get there early, there is very limited parking.

You're 1-1/2 miles from the restaurants downtown University Ave, but Champagne, coffee, and cookies available.

Park (free) in the lot if early. Street parking up to 3 blocks away is OK

The weather was cold, but not wet, with no wind. I wore a coat and tie. It's Saturday night at the opera, for heaven's sake! A lady in a slinky black dress is really appropriate. Match the volunteers, and the musicians. .

I was there 15 minutes early but ended up parking the equivalent of 3 to 4 blocks away on a side street. They also need more handicap spaces as those were all gone and I could've used one.
Need to go early as parking is terrible. I left 20 minutes to park and ended up several blocks away.

Park on the street for a quick exit, or convenient parking at the lot right next to the theater.

Mike's Cafe Etc is a good pre-show dining spot - tasty food, nice atmosphere, quick service. Or pick up a burrito at Sancho's.
