About Davies Symphony Hall
Marrying classical elegance with cutting-edge acoustics, the Bay Area’s grand Davies Symphony Hall is a timeless tribute to the beauty and power of symphonic music. Part of the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, the 2,743-seat concert hall was built in 1980 to provide the San Francisco Symphony with a permanent home. Outfitted with an impressive Fratelli Ruffatti electro-pneumatic pipe organ, Davies Symphony Hall plays host to San Francisco Symphony’s numerous classical concerts throughout the year along with summer pops events, special series concerts for families plus presentations of visiting guest artists and orchestras from around the globe.
