Parking on a Sunday afternoon was challenging, and after 15 minutes of looking for street parking I ended up in one of the many lots that increase their rates when there's a show...10 dollar flat fee for parking---

After the show, check out Cafe Stritch. Its two blocks from the theater. A live band usually plays til midnight. They make good strong drinks, and there are usually tables available at that time. They also serve coffee for you non-alcoholic types.

They have a small bar setup outside (bring cash) to purchase drinks. They only had Heineken and Sam Adams for beers, a couple wine selections, and the usual for mixed drinks. About $6 each. You can bring drinks into the theater.

The weather was way too hot for me. I wore slacks and a short-sleeved shirt. The rest of the audience was a bit more dressed up than I was..

Found street parking literally across the side street from the theatre. Likely harder Friday-Sunday when the fancy restaurant (Orchestria) is open and diners compete for parking spaces, but this is close to a single-family-dwelling residential neighborhood and it looks like street parking shouldn't be too hard.

Being that we went on Oct. 30 I parked right across the street. The streets were probably empty that night because Hollyween was the next night. That one reason we choose to attend on Oct. 30th

Next door to The Stage Theatre is a very nice piano lounge with a full menu and an old fashion soda fountain. The player pianos are wonderfully restored. If you want a full meal or just a drink or dessert this is a cool place. Tips are included in price. orchestriapalmcourt.com

There's plenty of street parking in the area, but beware of "South First Friday" - the first Friday of each month is busy, because museums and galleries are open late and free.

There is also plenty of paid parking in the lot under the 280 freeway about a block away.
