The weather was sunny and warm. I wore a maxi dress and sweater. The theater was comfortable inside but I always bring a sweater in case it's chilly. .
Park in the lot closest to the theater, although the lot says parking is $48, they had a discount for the show and it was $20 for 4+ hours.
Although they had drinks for purchase in the theater, we dined before we went. We went to Acanto, only a block or two away and really enjoyed it!
If you don't mind a little walk, plan to eat either before or after the show at Russian Tea Time on Adams. I dined there after the matinee, and it took me only about 10 minutes to walk east on Monroe to Michigan Av, then take a right turn onto Michigan Av. Walk from there going south to Adams. Take a turn west on Adams, and you will see the awning-covered Russian Tea Time entrance. (Don't miss taking a moment to snap the Route 66 sign just before the restaurant -- it memorializes the official beginning of that iconic roadway!)
Then, enjoy wonderful Eastern European cuisine at the restaurant, with courteous and knowledgeable wait staff...have a glass of "Russki chai," and enjoy sumptuous menu choices that include fork-tender beef Stroganoff and cabbage rolls in a delicious sauce. Vegetarian choices are also available. A great dining experience! If you need a cab afterward, they will light their lamp outside and one will arrive within minutes. Excellent food and convenience too -- a winning combination!
we paid a whopping $38 for parking. We expected $30 but were shocked with $38. Guess we hadn't paid for downtown parking in a while!
Haven't been to Ialian Village in forever. Dined in the upstairs part. Food was ok but expensive. Next time will try somewhere else.
Lobby doors will not open until 45 minutes before the play start time. Once you are inside theater, you must wait until 30 minutes before play start time before being allowed inside seating area. All seats are good, except those behind large, round support poles.

We walked over to the Elephant and Castle on Adams west of Clark. Good pub food and good service.
We used Spot Hero and parked beneath the Palmer house for only $12. Very tight driving in the garage; allow extra time.
