Tiny Beautiful Things
This historic theatre has no center aisle, so if you have center seats, get to your seat early to avoid disrupting everyone from the outside in.
Green Street Restaurant on shopperes Lane. You can walk over after a fabulous dinner and only park once.
The parking lot directly across the street is only $5. A steal by today's theatre standards. Great eats within walking distance, too.
The weather was Very cold and windy. I wore Sweater, scarf and heavy coat. The lobby is small and most spend intermission on the outside patio..
Surrounded by many good restaurants of all price ranges within two blocks.
PARKING - There are two close-by lots to the Pasadena Playhouse. Across the street is Playhouse Plaza, with garage parking below. The spaces are unusually wide which was a nice surprise. And the cost for evening parking is $5.00 cash or credit.card.
I believe there is an open lot across Green street as well for more parking choices.
The weather was Cool that night. I wore sport jacket, wife wished she had brought a jacket. .
Dining nearby is easy, especially if you like Mexican. Trejo's Cantina is adjacent to the theater. Very casual in decor, but great food, pretty much limited to Burritos, Tacos and bowls as entrees, but great tasting. The margaritas were wonderful too. I made a reservation through Open Table thinking that the theater crowd might affect the availability but it was not necessary or even asked about when we arrived at 6:15PM.
Just a block away is El Portal, with a large menu of items, and on the whole very good as well. They feature regional Mexican specialties plus the good old standby dishes. They feature an outdoor patio with heaters for those who wish to dine outdoors, but be aware of the forecasted temperatures. It too is casual attire, and dogs are allowed on the patio.
The best parking is in the underground structure directly across the street from the front entrance of the theatre.
There are many great restaurants in the area to choose from. One could eat before a 7 or 8pm performance or after a 2pm matinee. I would suggest Roy's on the corner of Colorado and S. El Molino as we had to most amazing meal and experience there. It's definitely worth the money
parking across the street in the underground parking lot is inexpensive at $5.00. The lot also closes at 11pm so you can grab a bite to eat afterwards and leave your car there.
The weather was sunny SoCal afternoon in beautiful Pasaden. I wore jeans, long sleeve tailored shirt and trainers..

Due to it being a 2pm performance, we at after. Since it was a nice day, we walked down to Paseo Colorado and at PF Changs. There are also many other eating establishments in the area with something for everyone. Had it been an evening performance, we would have eaten before hand Roy's.
There is parking across the street from the playhouse in an underground lot and the cost at that performance was a flat $5.00.
