This is my third Step Afrika Holiday show and I've always found parking on the street. No need to pay for lot parking, just drive around the block a couple of times and you're guaranteed to find street parking on one of the side streets. Pay attention to signs to make sure it's not residential only.

Small concession stand inside does sale drinks and snacks, but plenty of restaurants nearby to enjoy a nice preshow dinner. Also delicious pie shop next door that's open late after the show is over.

I think valet parking is only available on the weekends. We lucked out and found street parking, however, in the adjacent neighborhoods much of the parking is zoned, thus not available so the location of a nearby parking lot would be very helpful.
There are many bars and restaurants on H Street although many were closed on a Sunday afternoon.
Street parking is challenging but less so for a weekend matinee.

If you're looking to make a night of it, I suggest Copycat as a place to go for great drinks and delicious food. The drinks will be pricey, but worth it. They do have beverages for purchase at the theatre and snack foods.

Whether before or after you go, Smith Commons, one block over on H Street, is recommended for food, drinks and atmosphere. It's black owned but patronized by all; food is delicious and reasonably priced, as are drinks, and a TV with NBA playoffs was on when we went - just what I needed. Outdoor patio seating available, nice music playing throughout, 3 levels of seating and serving.

H street is parking hell. Metro to Union Station, walk a short distance and catch the free street trolley. Drops you a half block away from Atlas!

I was very disappointed by the restaurants around the theater. They looked interesting on line, but when we got there 0 Sticky Rice and others - the places were not inviting, limited seating, poor service.

You can reach it by public transportation: Union Station and then the H street corridor tram. But it takes a long time. In this cold weather - I would cab it to the theater.
